Info for Consultees
Thank you for your participation in Group Consultation. I hope you enjoyed the day and learned some new skills.
Next steps
I thought it would be useful to share some ideas about next steps you can take to consolidate your EMDR Therapy skills and also to extend these skills. For example, some of you were particularly interested in learning more about dissociation. Some of the resources below will help in this regard.
Some of you already work in specialist areas, e.g. eating disorders, Pain, FND, etc., or with different populations such as neurodiversity, veterans, and children. Our EMDR Facebook page offers a great way for you to ask questions and build networks in these areas.
I have put together a list of books, websites, Facebook pages and workshops below. Please don’t see this as advertising, as I do not receive anything from any of these organisations in terms of payment. They are simply resources I have found useful for my own learning, and they are not in any particular order. The list is not exhaustive, as there are simply so many excellent resources available that it is impossible to list them all.
Please remember that all the facilitators / supervisors on the EMDR Institute website may also be available for consultation / supervision, and we are always happy to support you in your learning.
There are other Facebook groups for EMDR Therapy, but this is our own Institute group to help you.

APS EMDR interest groups – some of these are online

Also ask about peer support groups in the EMDR Institute Facebook group, as this is often how groups can get started.

There are many more resources than listed above and if there are specific areas of interest that are not included here, please feel free to ask in the EMDR Institute Facebook group if you cannot find them. This way, the information is shared with others who may also be interested. You are also, of course, welcome to email me personally and ask if you prefer.
